Hello readers

I am posting multiple books on this website, in multiple genres.  I currently have a Y/A fantasy on the site and an 18+ romance as well.  I will soon post a Children's book and a sequel to the 18+ romance.

I will post the type of book before each snippet so that there isn't any confusion about what you are reading.

Thank you for coming to my blog and enjoy whichever book you choose to partake.

Author’s note:
Beckham’s New Home is the true story of a Frenchie who had to have Aortic Valvuloplasty, Balloon Valvotomy.
He is living his life in comfort and joy in sunny South Florida with his forever family, Chrissy and Troy.
This story is for all those, both human and animal, who have climbed the medical mountain and reached the other side.

Beckham is a French Bulldog puppy.  He is the cutest in his litter.  He has the softest coat and the most beautiful soulful brown eyes.
But Beckham gets tired very quickly and has a hard time catching his breath, so he can’t run and play like other puppies.  Panting, he walks slowly to a cool patch of green grass, resting his weary head on his paws.
Covered in grass and twigs, his brothers and sisters roll and play with each other.  Beckham sits on his green island of grass breathing hard.
He would like to play like his brothers and sisters and get covered with dirt and grime, but he has to stop and rest a lot.
Walking slowly behind the puppies as they chase each other, he hangs his head and goes inside to his warm and cozy fur-lined bed panting hard.
I’m tired Beckham tells his doggy mommy, his little mouth turned downward in a frown and his little brown brow furrowed.
It will be okay, baby Scarlett, his doggy mother says to him as her soft tongue licks his head, smoothing out his wrinkled forehead and soothing his sorrows.
Okay Mama, Beckham says, his voice filling with happiness.  He cuddles next to his mother’s silky tummy and takes a nap, his little puppy feet moving as he dreams of running in a field with his siblings all around him.

To Be Continued

Beckham’s Broken

Heart

Beckham is a French Bulldog puppy.
He walks on the cool tiles of his new home, his forever home, with a new mommy, Chrissy.  I love my new home and my new bed, he says as he snuggles into the silky cushions of his wicker bed.
Beckham lovingly follows her wherever she goes.  He sits with her on the couch when she watches television and rides in the basket on the front of her bicycle.
Beckham and Chrissy enjoy days at the beach; the sand on their feet and the feel of the cold water as it tickles their toes.
When Chrissy goes for a walk, Beckham pants as he tries to keep pace with her long strides, but he can’t keep up.
Sitting on the scalding sidewalk to take a break, Beckham wiggles as the concrete burns his bottom.  I am tired Mommy, he whimpers.
Chrissy bends and sweeps him off the ground and carries him the rest of the way, humming to her beloved baby and rubbing his soft fur.
Tears streaming down her face, she promises to fix Beckham’s broken heart.  “Don’t worry Becks.  We are going to get you fixed up, as good as new.”

Stella - Beckham's Little Sister

Stella - Beckham’s
Little
Sister

Beckham is a French Bulldog.
He had a broken heart, but his mommy, Chrissy, took him to the animal hospital and now it is fixed.
But Beckham still is not like other dogs.
He can run, but only for a little while.
He gets tired very quickly.
He can go outside in the yard, but he gets hot very quickly.
His mommy makes sure that he has lots of water around when he gets hot so he does not overheat.
He can go to the beach and play in the water, but he has to take lots of breaks when he is walking.
Sometimes Chrissy carries him when he gets overtired.
Beckham is lonely, so his mommy Chrissy gets him a friend, a little sister.
Her name is Stella.
Stella is an English Bulldog puppy.
Stella is full of puppy energy and vigor.
Beckham loves his sister Stella and tries to keep up with her, but when they run fast, he gets tired quickly.
Beckham, Stella says, let’s go run and play.
Okay, Stella, I am coming, Beckham says.
Then, when Beckham gets tired, he calls out to his sister, Stella, I cannot go any farther.  I am too tired.
Stella knows about Beckham’s fixed heart.  She knows that he cannot keep up so she slows down.
Okay Beckham.  Let’s go lie down in the grass under that tree, she says as she walks slowly to an oak tree in their fenced in yard.
I am coming, Stella Beckham says as he follows her slowly.
When Beckham gets to the tree, he lies down and takes deep breaths of cool air.
I am sorry I cannot keep up Stella, Beckham says softly.  I wish I was as fast as you.
No need to say sorry, Beckham, Stella replies.  You have your skills and I have mine.  I may be fast, but you are smart.
Like when we go through the maze at the museum.  I get lost because I run fast, but you go slow and always find your way out first.  Remember the time when you had to come and help me because I went so fast that I got lost?
Beckham laughs at that memory as he continues to cool down in the shade of the big Florida Oak tree.  Yeah, I remember that.  Mommy was so worried when you did not come out of the maze with me.
See, Stella tells Beckham soothingly, we each have our strengths.  That is why we are a good team.
Beckham nods and smiles and he and Stella take a nap on the cool grass in the breeze.
